We specialize exclusively in off-site catering. We are not a restaurant, and our kitchen facility—along with our exclusive venues—is seasonal and not equipped with heated seating for traditional menu tastings. Because our chefs prepare every menu fresh on the day of the event and do not keep full inventories on hand, offering small-scale tastings would not accurately reflect the timing, quality, or presentation of food prepared for a large event. For these reasons, we do not offer personalized menu tastings.
The advantage of not operating a restaurant is that you become our sole focus on your wedding day. When you book with Sophisticatering, you can trust that our professional staff—chefs, servers, bartenders, and even the owners—will be with you through every step, ensuring a flawless event your family and friends will truly enjoy and remember.
Many of our clients choose Sophisticatering because they, or someone they trust, have already experienced our exceptional food and service. Additionally, we provide complimentary meals to all vendors working your wedding, giving you another opportunity to gather honest feedback from experienced professionals who know our cuisine well.
About Menu Tastings
If a tasting is essential to your decision, we offer two options depending on your goals:
1. Are you looking to experience our food quality and presentation?
Each year on the first weekend of December (Friday–Sunday), we cater the Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste at Tremper High School in Kenosha. You may pre-order tickets through Sophisticatering—purchase as many as you wish. If you book your wedding with us, the cost of two tickets will be deducted from your final invoice. This event features an eight-course meal with entertainment and beverages, providing an excellent representation of our culinary style.
2. Are you deciding between specific entrée choices for your plated or buffet dinner?
If you let us know which menu items you are considering, it may be possible for our chef to set aside portions of those dishes when they are prepared for summer events. You can pick them up to heat and sample at home. When these opportunities arise, we will contact you to arrange pickup. As with the Madrigal Feaste, if your wedding is booked with us, the cost of these items will be deducted from your final invoice.
